Assembling the color palette
I carefully studied Ishuichi's photograph of Frida's red leather boot with prosthetic leg to create a color palette for my exhibition piece. I wanted to capture all the nuanced colors of the main elements (leather cuff, prosthetic leg, boot, and Chinese embroidered applique).
